Review from “Nokia N82 Blog”

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008

“What’s great about the Symbian S60 platform is that even if a particular feature is sorely lacking on a Nokia phone, there’s always software (freeware or shareware) to make up for it. Again, taking panoramic photos is no exception - PanoMan costs roughly 10 Euros, which may seem quite a large sum for a feature that should have been included in the phone, but I would think of it as money well spent, as it does an excellent job of taking panoramic photos.”

A elaborate review from “The Nokia Guide”

Thursday, March 13th, 2008
“Panoman is easy-to-use software and the end result is nothing short of amazing, especially considering that all you needed to do was hold the phone and pan from left to right. While the results are not always 100% accurate, this has more to do with having a steady hand or not. The results can be greatly improved with the use of a tripod. I’m really happy that Panoman now supports higher resolution images with panoramic images that can consist of up to 12 images. While Panoman 3 is a great software it’s not perfect and could sure use more manual and creative controls. If they manage to add these, this would make a great piece of software even better. Panoman 3 gets 8.8 out of 10.”

It also includes some well thought out wishes for a future PanoMan upgrade which we will seriously consider.

Review of PanoMan on N82

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

www.oknokia.com.cn reviewed the Nokia N82 and commented on PanoMan:

“There are a lot of software out there right now that can stitch images together, but the beauty of Panoman comes from the fact that it’s all done on the phone itself, no need to get home to stitch photo’s: it’s all created and uploaded on the phone itself. Another plus is that it does most of the work for you by analyzing how two pictures fit together and snapping when it “thinks” is right. All you need is keep a steady hand and pan to the right.”
